Augustine Aurelius (Blessed Augustine)

Augustine Aurelius (Blessed Augustine)
Birth 354
Death 430

Church Father and religious philosopher. He set out the basic idea of original sin that infected the entire Christian world and gave the Church Fathers sleepless nights, as well as hundreds of millions of ordinary believers. He dreamt up lots of fundamental differences between earthly society and the Kingdom of God. He developed theodicy theory (vindicating God). He was utterly and unashamedly committed to condemning all human – or heathen, sorry – pleasures.
