Roman philosopher and one of the most vehement critics of witchcraft, magic and Christian religion. In his view, there was nothing new about the religion of Christ the ordinary mortal, instead, its morals were blatantly plagiarised from pagan philosophy. Christianity threatened to undermine the state, because Christians didn’t fulfil their civil duties. He rightly predicted that if Christianity spread, Rome would fall into the hands of the barbarians.
