Eusebius of Caesarea

Eusebius of Caesarea
Birth 263
Death 340

Church Father, pupil of Origen and Arianist. He was the author of the ten-tome Ecclesiastical History, the greatest source of information about the first centuries of Christianity known to man. He was a kind of Christian Herodotus, although he admitted that his writing was about apologetics and proselytising rather than accuracy and rationality.
