Felix Bryk

Felix Bryk
Birth 1882
Death 1957

Austrian entomologist who pursued a life-long passion for butterflies and moths. In his later years, once he hit 42, this passion took him to Africa, where his entomological work focussed on sexual relations within aboriginal tribes. Bryk got lucky in that he died before political correctness took off, and this comes through in the titles of works like Dark Rapture: The Sex-life of The African Negro and Circumcision in Man and Woman: Its History, Psychology and Ethnology.
