Gregory the Theologian

Gregory the Theologian
Birth 329
Death 389

Church Father alongside Basil the Great. He defended the doctrine of the Trinity, studied the Holy Spirit intensively and, like all the other Church Fathers, fought heresy tooth and nail. He is famous as an orator and the author of a great many ‘letters’ and ‘speeches’ which applauded asceticism and suffering. He said that you should think about God more often than you breathe.
