Herbert Spencer

Herbert Spencer
Birth 1820
Death 1903

English philosopher and biologist, who studied ethics, as well as the theory of religion and other social systems. He saw society as an evolving organism governed by injustice, ambition, and power hunger. He thought the worst and most precarious kind of society was one that encouraged its weakest members to survive and flourish, those being people who were naturally unintelligent and immoral. He rejected all forms of theology and modern-day slavery in guises like socialism and communism.
