Theologian, jurist and pupil of the famous Hanbali ibn Taymiyya. He defended Sunni Islam from all foreign modifications and permutations, including Christian-style saint worship, venerating Aristotle’s teaching and practising alchemy or astrology. That’s all well and good, but poor Aristotle.
