John Chrysostom

John Chrysostom
Birth 347
Death 407

One of the three Great Ecumenical Hierarchs alongside Basil the Great and Gregory the Theologian, and an outstanding preacher and Gospel scholar. He spent four years in the desert, two of them in a cave before bad health got the better of him. He’s considered the patron and advocate of epileptics. In this book, you’ll find Chrysostom’s views on The Book of Job, the possibility of seeing the face of God, how to practise asceticism and the weakness of reason.
