Famous American psychohistorian. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, psychohistory is the study of the psychological motivations behind historical events, with a focus on the childhood and family of those involved. He finds correlations between the evolution of civilisation and psychological traumas experienced by embryos in the womb, and different attitudes towards children (from sacrificial offerings and killings in ancient times to today’s equitable relationships between parents and children). He connects Islamic terrorism with certain aspects of family life in Muslim countries. His writing provided us with lots of useful information about female circumcision.
