Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius
Birth 121
Death 180

Roman Emperor and stoic philosopher in the school of Seneca and Epictetus. He was particularly interested in ethics. He argued that all that matters is the present moment and being in tune with nature. The past doesn’t matter and the future is illusionary. It’s only reason that gives us the ability to judge and understand other people and only reason, not faith, that makes us happy.
