Saint Ambrose of Mediolanum

Saint Ambrose of Mediolanum
Birth 340
Death 397

Bishop of Milan, mentor to Augustine Aurelius (whom he baptised) and spiritual adviser to the last emperor of a unified Rome, Theodosius I. He came up with an exegesis of the doctrine of the Trinity and reformed church musical and liturgical traditions. He condemned man’s prideful nature, which the despicable Greeks had eulogised, along with other kinds of sickening depravity.
