Sigmund Freud

Sigmund Freud
Birth 1856
Death 1939

Austrian doctor and founder of psychoanalysis. He had a seminal influence on psychology, medicine, sociology, anthropology, literature and art in the 20th Century. He created the theory of personality, opened up the subconscious and subliminal sexuality (it seems we’ve also been sublimated our entire sexuality into writing this book), bestowed us all with an Oedipus complex and explained that religion is a childish illusion which takes away much more than it gives. So much has already been written about this man that it would be inappropriate to write anymore.
